The natural immune protection that develops after a SARS-CoV-2 infection offers considerably more of a shield against the Delta variant of the pandemic coronavirus than two doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, according to a large Israeli study that some scientists wish came with a “Don’t try this at home” label. The newly released data show people who once had a SARS-CoV-2 infection were much less likely than vaccinated people to get Delta, develop symptoms from it, or become hospitalized with serious COVID-19.
The study demonstrates the power of the human immune system, but infectious disease experts emphasized that this vaccine and others for COVID-19 nonetheless remain highly protective against severe disease and death. And they caution that intentional infection among unvaccinated people would be extremely risky. “What we don’t want people to say is: ‘All right, I should go out and get infected, I should have an infection party.’” says Michel Nussenzweig, an immunologist at Rockefeller University who researches the immune response to SARS-CoV-2 and was not involved in the study. “Because somebody could die.”
The researchers also found that people who had SARS-CoV-2 previously and then received one dose of the Pfizer-BioNTech messenger RNA (mRNA) vaccine were more highly protected against reinfection than those who once had the virus and were still unvaccinated.

Traditional vaccines and mRNA injections create a different mix of antibodies, which have different risks of facilitating infection. Pfizer says their injections cause creation of antibodies to the spike protein.

What you are thinking of is a whole virus vaccine. Inactivated, crippled, dead, whatever, but using the whole virus.
This was attempted with the original SARS virus of 2003 and the MERS virus of 2013; close cousins of Covid-19.
Those whole virus vaccines did indeed produce the desired antibodies; but when the vaccinated test animals were “challenged” with the wild virus they also experienced VAH, vaccine hypersensitivity reactions, which in humans is known as ADE. Antibody-dependent enhancement. That can kill you.
Both SARS-1 and MERS disappeared on their own and the attempt to solve the whole virus riddle was dropped. But the VAH/ADE experience with the whole virus must have been on the mind of the Covid-19 vax builders. So none of the American vaccines tried it. They use “subunit protein”, mRNA and one other non-whole virus technology. The CCP vaxxes apparently are whole virus, but they aren’t as effective. At least they avoided the ADE problem.

Makes me wonder if his grandma could have had Covid at some point. I also reacted to the first shot, although not remotely like his grandmother’s severe experience. I had recurring chills and fatigue that lasted for days. I think I had Covid in January 2020, and my immune system recognized the 1st shot as the enemy. If I did indeed have Covid I should have the whole virus antibodies that natural immunity confers. It’s just a riskier way to get them than a whole virus vaccine would be, despite what Team Fear wants us to believe.
According to the research I have read, the spike proteins are more likely to mutate and make MRNA vaccine antibodies ineffective. That certainly seems to be the case now with the return to masking for the vaccinated.
One of the reasons why natural immunity lasts longer and provides better protection than the MRNA vaccines is that you aren’t just directing the immune system at one protein.
Of course the “traditional” COVID vaccine in development (novavax) is also only targeting the spike protein as well. It will still likely be much safer as you are actually injecting the protein rather than tricking the body into making it, but it probably won’t provide any better protection.

I think prioritizing vaccines was wrong. Given that previous attempts at creating coronavirus vaccines failed, it would’ve been better to focus on prevention and treatment.
Research with obvious natural substances to treat the wuhan coronavirus is in its infancy. I haven’t seen research on vitamin C, which I suspect helps. If treatment was a higher priority, by now we might have proof that something like Dr Kory’s treatment works, know what are the effects of vitamin C and vitamin K, and whether things that remove iron from the body are effective.
People low on vitamin K do worse if they get the wuhan coronavirus. People at higher risk have more stored iron.

I had Covid from July 20th to Aug. 3rd here in Florida. What was the likelihood the Covid variant I had was Delta? Testing center only said positive for Covid, hospital took blood test but never said anything about variant.
