The Washington Post is beyond contemptible. What about last summer’s siege of the White House? Or the nightly Antifa riots in Portland? Or arson, looting and murders from Black Lives Matter?

The October 3, 2013, incident began when Miriam Carey drove up to a White House checkpoint and was approached by Secret Service officers. She made a three-point turn, striking an officer who was trying to move a barricade into her path and then drove away.

1. Location - the normally public access space of the capitol vs the White House.

2. The means and location - an automobile transgressing a heavily guarded supposedly limited access area at the White House. An automobile breaking a secure government space is often assumed to possibly be carrying a bomb. None of the Capitol protesters entering the capitol building were armed.

3. 1. and 2. and not anyone’s “race” were the basic reasons for SOME of the difference in the response. The other difference, I believe, is that the deep state was in on the event, and instead of blocking it in its incubation they sought to see it come about as fuel for going after Trump.

In the months after the birth of her baby, Erica, Miriam Carey "suffered post-partum depression with psychosis, including a 'momentary breakdown' that required hospital care."

In addition to that, and on at least one occasion after that birth, Miriam had contacted her hometown (Stamford , Connecticut) police, in order to report people snooping about her home and intruding on her privacy. [EXCERPT from the article:]

One day in late November 2012, Carey called the Stamford police to report male neighbors loitering outside her window. They had been stalking her for months, she told the 911 operator. “They’re trying to videotape me through my window,” she says on a recording of the call.

On another occasion, and at a point of greater anxiety, Miriam had become a bit imaginative about who was the cause of her worries and why . . . she said [EXCERPT from the article:]

[When the police asked], “she replied it was because Stamford and the state of Connecticut [are] on a security lock down,” the report continued. “She stated that President Obama put Stamford in lockdown after speaking to her because she is the Prophet of Stamford. She further stated that President Obama had put her residence under electronic surveillance and that it was being fed live to all the national news outlets.”

My guestimate, is that Miriam was over-extending herself, while trying to perform her professional dental duties, in addition to trying to please some people (one of them being her boyfriend aka father of new daughter, Erica).

Miriam possibly, and originally, sought the Connecticut location (her condo) as a place of peace, where she could live and get some distance - out from under the pressures and her anxiety re life.

Yet, the local snoopers plus boyfriend (becoming also father for the child), was a return to "too much," and she lost the relief of her sanctuary.

I am guessing that she drilled down into a hole of depression about all that, and sought relief, by heading to what, in a bit of another psych-break, seemed to her, to be a probable source of her troubles: whatever she imagined to be emanating from Washington, DC.

Never having been to DC, before, and certainly unaware of the nature of security there, she actually reacted as more than a few people have: startled, followed by sudden movements, combined with some embarrassment (upon which some people instantly "back up"). But, in today's environment, who would know that, outside of the car, and outside of lengthy conversation and time with her?

I will side with: She was a good person, but she had become stuck in a position, in her mind, where she was more and more frustrated, and then desparate for relief. IMHO.
