A hospital hires an ob/gyn to cater to the 50% of their customers who are female.

A college should hire a chaplain to cater to whatever percentage of their students are religious.
Noticing that 40% of the students are not religious, really should not alter that.

My joke-not-a-joke for a long time is that theology professors tend to be gay atheists. Not sure why that is.

My suspicion is that they pursue it hoping to find an angle, a loophole. Something like that.

Harvard really shouldn’t stop there. Might as well ruin the whole place. Appoint someone who believes the Earth is flat to head the Astronomy Department. Appoint someone who speaks only German to head the Spanish Department, etc.
