I actually did save my comic books from the late 60's/early 70's. They've all been individually preserved in plastic covers this past 30+ years.

Oh if only! I had some great ones, Disney Donald Ducks (with villains the Beagle Boys and the Phantom Blot), Scrooge McDuck, then there were the Westerns, the Rawhide Kid was my favorite, along with the Two-Gun Kid; there was Korak, son of Tarzan, a gone-native jungle adventurer; there were the scary comics like Boris Karloff, creature features, etc, plus the educational/cultural ones like Classics Illustrated; all the great super heroes and their respective organizations, from the start, came from comic books; Justice League, etc. There were the Catholic comic books featuring Chuck White, a decent upstanding Christian man with a tempted nephew. I got these on Fridays towards the end of the school year at St. Patricks elementary school in Denver. Thanis for the trip down Memory Lane!

I liked those Marvel westerns, too. In addition to those two, I also liked Kid Colt.

About 10 or 15 years ago, Marvel rebooted The Rawhide Kid as, you guessed it, a "gay"character.
