A Ye by any other name …
Kanye West has filed paperwork to shorten his legal name to his longtime nickname, “Ye,” TMZ is reporting.
West, 44, filed the docs in LA Tuesday, the outlet says, and they note that “in California, unless there’s evidence a name change is designed to commit fraud or other shenanigans … the judge will approve it.”
It’s an interesting move from West, given that one of his least-liked albums, the 23-minute June 2018 release recorded after his TMZ “slavery was a choice” interview, was titled simply “Ye.”

Ye ha.
Why not “Go” ?
I don’t care what you call me. Just call me.
Looking forward to the Donda drop. Hopefully this week.
My teenage son likes to yank my chain, so he told me he would vote for West if he ran (he’s said stuff like this before but he voted for Trump)
Anyway, I told him that West is mentally ill and his response was - so how is that different than most elected officials today?
Trying to remain in the news. Ye Olde Dummy.
wow, this is newsworthy.....Not
hear ye... hear ye...
What a doink... his single most recognizable name is “Kanye”
He could do a mononym like “Cher’ or ‘The artist formerly known as Prince’
He’s got a point.
This is just the first spelling lesson before his write in Campaign. Teach YE next comes KAN it is simple spelling lessons
Maybe he’s just really committed to his chosen pronoun: “Hey, Ye, over there!”
Then he should have gone with “Aawest” while he was at it.
“Yeast” would be catchy too.
It may be just “ye” now, but we can all still see the “con”.
Ha ha.
I think I’ll file paperwork to change my name to “Me’.
I’m tired of wasting the 3 seconds it takes to sign my checks.
I’ll make it a flamboyant scrawl, though, to cut down on the ease of forgery.
Is it pronounced as in “hear, ye!”?
