I really appreciate your explanation. Thank you. I dont see why its so hard to get clear explanation without a) diving into details that most people (including me) dont have the background to follow, which is what most of the ‘new scientific studies’ seem to be, or b) getting into vax/anti-vax argument.
So some take-aways for me from this are
1) from a risk perspective, if you havent developed issues from the vax in the first three weeks afterwards, there really is no mechanism left in the body to cause side effects afterwards.
2) for younger or more active people, the risk if side effects may be higher just as a result of better circulation, so young healthy people maybe should not be vax’ed
3) in all cases, maybe you want to limit somehow the circulation in the vax area (dont work out right afterwards? etc)
4) wait for the Novavax approach to be available. Are they even talking about a date for that?
1) It’s two doses, so 3 weeks after 2nd dose your body should be clear of all vaccine products, but that doesn’t mean that damage done to vulnerable tissues during that time would necessarily be resolved. And it’s possible that permanent damage could be done to an organ, like reduced function that wasn’t recognized at the time but 6 months later results in organ failure or a heart attack. Some things take longer to manifest and the correlation/causation will be really hard to prove.
2) That’s my speculation, but it seems reasonable to me. The only way for anything to get from point A to point B in the body is the circulatory system.
3) That seems logical and is my anecdotal experience. I took my Moderna shot in late afternoon, then went home and did nothing till bedtime. Had no symptoms, arm was barely sore. My 26 year old son got his at the same time and then went and worked on his house until dark. Then was fatigued and achy the rest of the weekend and slept most of the next day.
4) They pushed their US EUA application back to the 4th quarter of this year, but have already filed in the UK, EU, India, Philippines and Indonesia.
