I’ve had my disagreement with Gas, but I believe he believes what he says. Some people will take a position and reject anything that contradicts it. When I was in the sixth grade, a doctor thought I was malingering from school. He made is diagnosis and believed in it. After five days in the hospital ( where my mother insisted I be sent), when my appendix burst and the pain let up but my temperature soared, he told the nurse I was rubbing the thermometer on the blanket and said I could go home, Fortunately, the hospital callen in a surgeon, but I spend a year with tubes draining the puss. To this day, I believe the doctor thinks he just made a wrong diagnosis. The Gas doctor isn’t lying. He probably believes what he is saying as did the doctor who almost killed me,
Funny, for some reason I always thought gas Dr. was a she. I don’t know why.
I might add that seventy years later, I still have pains in my side from abdominal adhesions, (although they were operated on several years later} that make me think of that damned doctor. On the other hand, I am very grateful for the surgeon who was brought in by the hospital, and the hospital, who saved my life.
