I have great affection for Donald Trump, but he has become a politician, much to my dismay.

Yes, and a rather bad politician at that. He turned his victory into defeat. The deep state was weak because it is hated by the people, he was strong and loved by the people. He should have stood his ground from the beginning and just fought from the getgo, starting with firing Sessions and then firing Mueller. He had the strength, he just didn’t have the intestinal fortitude it seems.
Even now, if Mr. Trump made the decision to do so, he could take his rightful presidency back. All he has to do is say the word, and he would have an army (including a lot of the US military) at his back!
