We hate our government (A View from Australia)
Pushing Rubber Downhill ^ | 23 Aug, 2021 | Adam Piggott, Gentleman adventurer

A $35K fine for sixty people who gathered in an “illegal” church worship in Sydney. A group of rescue dogs that were shot by a local council so that rescue center staff would not travel to pick them up under the guise of Covid restrictions. Police firing rubber bullets at lockdown protestors. Despotic state premiers refusing the prime minister’s call to reopen once 80% vaccination rates are achieved. Homes of Covid sufferers in South Australia to be marked so that their neighbors can rat them out to police if they breach tyrannical stay at home orders. Celebrities offered cash payments by government to promote the pro-vaccine propaganda line. The military ordered onto Sydney streets.

Why are we surprised? Did anyone think during a plague crisis, real or imagined, that our government would react in any way other than the most stupid, ineffective and damaging? Look at their prior form over the last sixty years. At all levels of government, from the federal to the state and to local councils, the results speak for themselves. A consistent rate of public failure. And underneath all, a foundation of endemic corruption.

What has been the most surprising about the latest events in Afghanistan is not the speed with which the Taliban routed a seemingly invincible enemy. Rather, it has been the schadenfreude of watching the too big to fail get its arse handed to it. And Australia as the lap dog of American imperialism is firmly included in this damning portrayal. We play follow the leader because we have no men with the courage to actually lead.

The truth is, we hate our government. We hate their continued ability to make the wrong decision and then reward themselves for it. We hate their unrelenting meddling in our lives at every level. We hate their constant embracement of every lunatic Marxist propaganda tool that is dreamed up by the legions of traitorous public servants working to undermine and destroy our Australian culture and way of life. We hate the ridiculously high taxation rates under which we suffer and the obscene ways in which government manages to waste this money at every opportunity.

Politicians are pretty much the same everywhere. I guess evil is a universal constant.

You’ve given away your only means to fight that tyranny, the ammo box. There’s no peaceful way out of that.

First they took your guns. After that, they were able to do anything at all to you. Your government is worse than ours.

That’s what makes this one special. It’s not the US. It’s the whole world.

Fortunately, at least at first, Americans are more dangerous than Australians. We have more guns and more of us have the will to use them. But in the end, we’ll lose, just before Jesus return and it is all sorted out nicely.

“First they took your guns”

Not that anybody wonders why democrats here want to do the same but this is exactly why.

Stopped reading right there.

in the end, we’ll lose

We can win, but the only way that will happen is if we get a lot smarter and follow a combination of Saul Alinsky and Sun Tzu tactics.

Right now we are stupid, and stupid loses.

Sounds to me like the freedom level of Australians will improve if and when the Chinese seize control of that part of the world.

Leftists governments are location independent. They always suck. They always make things worse. And eventually, the population always has to rise up and kick their loathsome *sses out. Leftism is a sure sign of mental problems.

The difference here in the USA is we have the 2nd amendment. I know what everyone says, but just the thought of an armed citizens numbering in the millions has to be on the minds of our leaders as they send us down the sewer.

Which is why they banned ammunition from Russia, they will either make ammo too expensive or impossible to get.

Many years ago I used to dismiss my Jewish friends concerns about the return of anti-Semitism as such a thing seemed unthinkable to me. But in recent years they were proven right and I was wrong. It never went away, it was just below the surface. The same is true of Tyranny. There are always those looking for any excuse to take away people’s freedom. Under the surface of any politician is someone who thinks they can run your life better than you.

To posses POWER is a psychological ‘high’. Too many professional politicians (PPs) seek POWER for such personal reasons (varying degrees) rather than as a duty. Non-professional politicians have other means of self-satisfaction (get your mind out of that gutter) and have no desire for that rat-race.

Our USofA Founders, in creating our power-limiting US Constitution, sought to reduce the potential of a perpetual EMPOWERED class of autocrats. Other countries, like Australia, have tried their own methods for much the same goals! Still other countries accept that the outcome is near inevitable (Russia) and never really try.

COVID struck the 1st World at a time of prosperity and self-satisfaction. It hit at a mainstay of our confidence that ‘S’cience and ‘E’xperts (S&Es) had the means and knowledge to control this outbreak. Our PPs ordered up solutions based upon S&Es, and then kept doing such things as normal, like impeachments, campaigns and ‘safety orders as spoken by S&Es.

Now, after 18 months of the above, in almost every country on Earth, the PPs are seeing that their ‘solutions’ are FAILING, especially after piling one on top of the others for the entire time! In Australia and multiple other places including several US States, they are SCARED that their careers will be destroyed and their POWER gone! This leads directly to desperation and autocracy without civil rights.

We live in a world where coordination is only possible if they let you coordinate. This was addressed in an article I read twenty years ago. It’s gotten a lot worse.

Look at Timothy McVey. There were only two co-conspirators, but the FBI was on to them. The only solution is nonsense like that one guy in his pickup with the bomb threat. I think he was hoping he was going to be the catalyst that started some sort of organic uprising.

And that is actually the only way it will happen, but it has to get REALLY bad before that happens. As I sit in my peaceful home on a 7 acre grassy knob on 32 acres with a quarter mile long driveway and utter privacy due to surrounding trees, the most frightening scene in any movie, for me, is the first ten minutes of Inglorious Basterds. And I believe that sort of thing WILL happen here eventually. It may not be a Ruby Ridge thing, but it will look like it on CNN.

But I’m relatively old (67). This is really not my fight. My part in this is ensuring there is a place where our 7 kids and 5 grandkids can bug out to if necessary. I never thought it would come to this, but it looks like the Lord had a reason for compelling me to buy this place in 2008, two weeks before the presidential election. And I fully expected McCain to win. That was when I learned just how utterly foolish and hoodwinked the American people are, as a group. I have zero faith in this group.
