Maybe you guys are ready to discuss the competence of the whole foreign policy / defense / intelligence community. Hey! The U.S. has 17 – seventeen -- intelligence agencies. Do you think that helped or hindered in the runup to the Afghanistan debacle?
Maybe you guys are ready to discuss the curious case of the FBI and the DoJ and the armed insurrection that wasn’t. Isn’t it odd that all of a sudden they can’t bring in the bacon and send the whole MAGA movement off to reeducation camp? What gives, do you think? The MSM has a lot of cleanup to do. But they will. They will bury all of this bad news and prop up the BiteMe regime. Of that I am sure.
They will certainly try, but the situation is not static. The other side has the momentum, and they will try to capitalize on their gains. The MSM will have to bury a continuing series of events, some of which will be extremely loud and incredibly close.

You're reminding me. They started burying 9-11 within about three weeks of the event, after slamming the entire population with it 24-7. Within a few months, it was receding into the background; within a couple years, it was ancient history. Maybe you're right.
On the other hand, Bush took the battle to the enemy, which kept them muted here. This time, that's not happening.
Also, don't forget China.
Having watched the entire media/tech/educational/DC machine successfully feed the American people the most laughably inept series of coups, impeachments, fake elections and scamdemics, my money’s on the machine as well. The stupefying dumbing down of America has consequences.
I don’t think Utah voters are much of a concern for Mittens in ‘24. In his mind, he has bigger fish to fry. The tech/media machine will pick a Uniparty (R) designated loser to challenge the DC regime. Mittens was the perfect DL in 2012. Romney will be peddled as the anti Trump, middle of the road Uniparty candidate to save Republicans from destruction. Many conservative rubes and most Republicans will send him money and support, like I did in ‘12, as he reprises his 2012 performance.
