The U.S. population increased by nearly 23 million over the past decade, according to the Census Bureau, yet the white population dropped by 19 million, and the non-Hispanic white population dropped by 5 million. It's not that white people are shrinking as a percentage of the population, but the raw number of people counted as "white" has gone down by millions.
What’s going on here?
The Associated Press reports it as the "white population shrinking," but that's pretty misleading. If you dig a tiny bit, it’s pretty clear this isn’t really a question of fewer white people so much as it’s a question of changing census questions///

I would suggest that probably around a million-plus Americans (since 2010) packed up and retired to overseas locations (from the Philippines to Australia, From Costa Rica to Argentina, from Spain to Greece, etc). The Census didn’t capture that information. In fact, if you went to most US embassy operations....they give you merely estimates of the Americans who live in these locations.
The trend? It will only continue.
I don’t believe SQUAT coming from the government!
not too many here can blame you :)
The census was taken during cruise season?
the article is long, but the gist of it is, wonky questions allowed census peeps to move people out of the white only category
I for one don’t answer the race questions anymore. Didn’t on the census.
I think that is more the truth than anything else. Also a lot of people will actually lie about their race on government forms like the census.
His assignments were almost entirely in white,or mainly white,suburbs...no inner city assignments.
His opinion, based on his experience,is that he wouldn't trust any figures that the Census Bureau put out for the 2020 Census.
That surge in Hispanic voter support for President Trump and Trumplicans is likely from mixed-race folk or 3rd generation who used to identify as white or just “American” before the Yugoslav Socialists running the country decided that wasn’t sufficient.
At first sniff, the Census appears to be political.
Wonder why ?
I don't want to hear any b.s. about federal funding, losing a rep in the HoR or anything else. That's EXACTLY why I refuse to be counted, period. I live in Hellinois. I *WANT* this state to lose Congressional representation (we lost a seat after the last census! YAY!!) I *WANT* this state to lose as much federal funding as possible.
This crooked-ass corrupt state doesn't DESERVE to have representation in Congress and it certainly doesn't deserve a single federal dollar, all of which goes to feed the corrupt beast known as Illinois State Government.
It's my way of fighting back, it's about all I have left at this point.
What if they had a Census and EVERYONE refused? Boy, wouldn't that be great huh?
People are ticking the box for hispanic these days to be part of the protected class instead of the oppressed whites. Hispanic is not a race. Feel free to start checking it on everything.
I’m betting that a lot of white people have decided to claim non-white status based on a grandparent or great grandparent being some sort of minority. Plus, a lot of “Hispanics” used to list themselves as white, but find it more advantageous these days to give up the white status.
Which they need to do to verify their “whites won’t be the majority in ten years” prediction.
The Democrats are in charge of the Census. Democrats cook the books to suit themselves. There are NO exceptions to this rule. We can’t trust these figures any more than we can trust Biden’s vote total.
The Democrats will continue to find ways to put whites in the minority. But when we become a minority we will be eligible for a minority’s special rights. Then what will they do? I will continue to vote conservative while I demand my special rights. LOL Whoops.
Given what is happening here, I certainly entertain the idea of moving overseas. I can watch America burn from afar.
Over the many years... I’ve just become so used to being lied to by government. I just accept it as the norm now.
