I’m having a hard time figuring out what he is saying, or implying. Is it that the 3rd dose may be causing deaths, or that people are still getting covid after the 3rd dose, or that they are giving the 3rd dose to people with active infections... or?
As for the percentages/math he may (or readers may be) be mixing up the denominators. Again I am not sure what he means - people triple jabbed, or people infected, or total double jabbed population...
Of the 1.1 million people, 2790 tested positive for COVID-19. 187 of those people ended up getting sick enough to end up in the hospital. 88 are really sick, and some number less than 15 have died.
There is not enough information yet to know how effective the booster shot is because the risk of potential infection in unknown over time. If the current rate reflects its performance against a widespread circulating virus then it is working well. That may be exactly what is happening in Israel.
For example, if all of the 1.1 million people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.9998 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
If only 10% of the 1.1 million people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.9983 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
If only 1% of the 1.1 million vaccinated people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.983 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
Note that knowing the percentage of the population exposed to the virus is important. If only 1% of the population is even exposed to the virus then 99 percent of the population would not get sick regardless of the existence or effect of the vaccine at all.
It would be helpful if the media and governments shared more useful data with the public.
