For the slow readers this means 1.1 million have gotten boosters. And 0.2% still presented active cob is 7 days after their third shot that’s in plain English.
In absolute terms, the number of virus carriers who received their third dose is 2,790. Of them, just 187 (0.01%) were hospitalized and 88 (0.008%) developed serious symptoms. Fewer than 15 of them have died, with the report offering no exact number.”
Do you understand what absolute terms means? That is in science for total numbers. In this case of the 0.2% who caught covid 7 days after their third shot remember this is referenced to the preceding scientific fact. That absolute number was 2790, of which out of that absolute number 88 were in serious condition and 15 died.
This should be freshmen level reading comprehension. I have now posted twice the correct data and numbers.
If you have a direct source contradicting this article’s source with a patient day breakdown please post it. If you are attempting to show that this article is in patient days you are flat out wrong. It’s.posted twice in plain English I won’t argue a point that anyone with basic reading comprehension skills can see for themselves.
Because it IS the antibodies that causes many of the reactions. Targeting the spike protein was idiotic. Totally idiotic. They did this because it was the easiest thing to do (mRNA encoding the spike protein). There are many reasons why having high antibody levels against the spike protein could be pathological. There are also reasons why targeting only this viral protein will not lead to the most robust anti-Covid response.
If true, that's makes the author's credibility even lower.
It makes zero sense to divide the number of patients by patient days. The opposite would make sense, patient days / # patients = average patient days per patient. But it's way too soon to calculate that, as few patients would have been discharged by now.
If the author doesn't understand how to use the numbers, does he even understand what the numbers he is using represents? My guess is no, and this article should not be taken seriously.

Of the 1.1 million people, 2790 tested positive for COVID-19. 187 of those people ended up getting sick enough to end up in the hospital. 88 are really sick, and some number less than 15 have died.
There is not enough information yet to know how effective the booster shot is because the risk of potential infection in unknown over time. If the current rate reflects its performance against a widespread circulating virus then it is working well. That may be exactly what is happening in Israel.
For example, if all of the 1.1 million people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.9998 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
If only 10% of the 1.1 million people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.9983 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
If only 1% of the 1.1 million vaccinated people were exposed to the virus then the 3X vaccine is 99.983 percent effective in keeping people exposed to COVID-19 out of the hospital.
Note that knowing the percentage of the population exposed to the virus is important. If only 1% of the population is even exposed to the virus then 99 percent of the population would not get sick regardless of the existence or effect of the vaccine at all.
It would be helpful if the media and governments shared more useful data with the public.
The twitter author is incorrectly quoting patient days it makes sense now why you think it’s patient days. The actual source article and the real data is not patient days it’s 7 days OR MORE after they third booster shot. Again let’s look at the real source not some twitter idiot.

It’s right there:

That means 7 days and more not just 7 days or every 7 days it makes a critical difference.
Typo for the example of 11,000 exposures and 187 hospitalizations. The 3X vaccine effectiveness in that case is 98.3 percent. (187/11,000)

Second question.... did they compare these number of deaths and sicknesses with those who are unvaccinated?
The tweets are poorly worded. But 187 / 2,790 * 100 = 6.7%, not 0.01%.

Berenson took the quote right from the article. The government quote (more provax pr) was calculated from all 1.1 million (now 1.3 million) people who got the 3rd shot.
The illness, death and case numbers referred to ONLY those who had tested positive for covid at least one week after the 3rd shot. Leave aside for the moment the idiocy in using a one week time frame to contract covid. Obviously many more of the 1.1 million will contract it in subsequent months.
Math must be very hard for these people. 187 people out of 2790 is 6.7%. not .01%. And 88 out of 2790 is 3.1%, not .0088%
So Berenson references the number of people 'carrying the virus' 2790, and of them, how many severely ill, how many hospitalized.

Both your links are Reuters. No need for Reuters to ‘wash’ the data for me - all MSM has touches of bias, Reuters is strong for their habit of slanting the data to fit ‘the narrative.’
Yea, the number of infected is a meaningless number after only a week or two. The 6.7% figure is interesting, what is the percentage of hospitalized to the number infected in the unvaccinated population in Israel?
