I dunno.
Be interesting to see the toxicology report. That will likly be key here. All are dead, including the dog and no physical signs of foul play. I’d be very surprised if they don’t find toxins present capable of killing them.

An alarming number of people mysteriously die or go missing in the national parks and forests. Yosimite and the Sierra Nevadas hold the record number. So many, that the Yosimite parks service has their own search and rescue team, and they rarely involve any outside agencies, or give out any details about the number of missing they have.

I doubt the meander did it. Although if you meander into the wrong areas it can result in unpleasantness.
I am inclined toward the idea that poison killed them, the question being natural, accidental or deliberate.

17 inch long Bigfoot tracks were found less than 1/2 mile from the deceased family`s location in July 1964 by a Boy Scout leader andv a medic, published in the Modesto Bee July 16, 1964 with photos of the plaster casts.
