cdc tb vaccine Bacille Calmette-Guérin (BCG)
I got it as a child overseas..
since I got the bcg vaccine as a child I tested positive for tb skin test..haven’t had test in years but it is common result of bcg.
as a child living in Turkey I was diagnosed as having TB in turkey (Turkish doctor) and flown to US Army hospital in Weisbaden, Germany where they determined I had an allergy to Poppies, in tukey there are fields and fields of poppies, I passed them on way to school, when I left turkey to go to germany my allergy disappeared and came back when I returned to Turkey. so no TB and I had to quite eating poppy seeds /s
as a side note Germany had the neatest toys for kids they engineeer everything very well.

😂
I’m not sensitive about him. No idea who the guy even is.
You’re the one who got your panties in a twist about him/who he is/what his medical credentials are....had to go look him up, etc.
Which was the point I made.
... smokers/ non smokers via the virus.

Anecdote/not data:
78F, smoked 1 1/2 packs/day for 63 years (stuff my own for the past 13 years). At 44 passed a detailed exam including x-rays and lung function tests in order to go scuba diving and passed with flying colors. (Doc was chagrined.) Today, some emphysema, not on O2, no SOB, do not utilize MDs if at all possible, take no prescription meds, do take a few vitamins/supplements. Normal weight. Do not eat processed foods. Rarely eat out. Do not drink, except perhaps a sherry 3-4x/year and perhaps a small glass of wine, the same frequency.
Caught C19 March 2020. No memorable fever, but a few night sweats. Experienced congestion, cough and fatigue, 2-3 weeks. Worked through it, downsized 45 years of stuff and moved. Fatigue persisted for 3 months. Parosmia persisted, intermittently, for 16 or so months, now resolved. Fatigue returned about a year later and has resolved with the addition of Mega CoQ10 100mg/day/3 days/week.
Have not been ill at all with anything since April 2020 and was not ill at all with anything for years prior to C19. Never had a flu shot. Cannot recall last case of flu...at least 40+ years. Vaxxed for diptheria & tetanus as a child. Had pertussis, but it’s in the DPT booster I took 2x since for puncture wounds. Oral polio vax. Had childhood illnesses (measles, mumps, chickenpox). Worked in hospitals a few times between 1963 and 2006 and always had negative TB tests.
IMO, informed by what I understand of the studies I’ve read, the nicotine (and perhaps other ingredients) blocks the ACE 2 receptors. I have always had normal to just a tad elevated BP.
