How do we know that? We don’t have a standard test for covid. Rember CDC admitted that the test they are using can’t differentiate between covid and the flu and are discontinuing use, AND they have to run multiple runs to even get a positive result, which may or may not be covid.
Wrong again. they never said the covid test can’t differentiate between covid and the flu. What they did was recommend the covid test be put in a panel with the flu test so everything can be tested for at once. It is not u heard if to have covid and flu at the same time much as kids are getting covid and RSV at the same time. In addition covid and influenza are clinically distinct illnesses which anyone who has spent time at the bedside would tell you
I’m glad you asked this. Most people misrepresent what the actual statement was. Covid is now being run as a bundle of tests with a single probe. It is a respiratory infection panel of which there is included influenza parainfluenzas, Corona virus and I believe RSV.
It is part of a package does not mean it cannot be differentiated. It is a way to better diagnose what the cause of what is in front of us actually is.
