When I was a boy, I read science fictions stories about a world in which humans lounged around poolside sipping drinks being waited on by armies of robots that would also take care of all the chores and unpleasant tasks.
All us humans had to do was sit around and take our leisure while the robots did all the work around us.
Sounded like a paradise but those stories never had good outcomes.

Didn't work out so well in Wall-E, either.

Otherwise, they're free to live a life of leisure or scientific pursuits.
The problem with this future is that leaves about 7 billion people on the planet who have no part to play in it. What will these people do when Elon Musk's robots are performing all the boring, menial, and dangerous jobs that they used to do?
