The Taliban are allowed on Twitter, but a former president is banned from Twitter. Does this make sense to anyone here, assuming Twitter has any legitimate standards of decorum in the first place?

Who is old enough the remember the utter contempt that the Iranian Mullahs had for Jimmy Carter?
He did everything to placate them. They milked him for all he was worth and were a key, but far from only, factor in his landslide re-election defeat.
To rub things in, they wouldn't even let the embassy hostages take off from Tehran until Reagan had completed the oath of office. I remember watching the two events on a split screen TV in college as clearly as if it were a week ago.
Class act that he was, Reagan loaned Carter the use Air Force One to go to our airbase in Germany and personally greet the hostages as his envoy.
