Kathy Hochul was a mainstream democrat when she was a Hamburg NY town board member (she even defended gun rights). She even battled Eliot Spitzer on drivers licences for illegals when she was Erie County Clerk
She has risen in the ranks by being generally inoffensive to party-hacks above her, and stepping over the political corpses of men in front of her - Spitzer, Chris Lee and now Cuomo all were taken down for sex scandals.
Hochul will go far left now that she’s fighting to keep the Governorship.

How about, drag the one out in cuffs.
Swear in, and other assumes authority.
Done.
5 minutes.

Anyone seen the actual letter of resignation yet? What if Cuomo decides not to resign and the Speaker elects not to restart impeachment proceedings?

As someone said the other day - Now change the name of the dam bridge back to the Tappan Zee - ridding it of Cuomo’s father’s name.

Last week, there were Democrats in the NY state assembly who intended to introduce legislation to remove Mario Cuomo’s name from that bridge.

Cuomo had announced Aug. 10 that he would resign from office in 14 days, but didn’t specify exactly when he would step down. Cuomo filed retirement papers Tuesday, with his retirement effective Sept. 1. Well, he's already pushed it back an extra week, I wouldn't put it past him to try to hold on after 9/1 - by then his resignation headline will be old news. Think Ralph Northam.
