THANK YOU President Trump for ending this costly 20 year war

Trump deserves enormous credit for ending the war in Afghanistan something Barack “surge” Obama couldn’t do as he was a useful puppet to the Military Industrial Complex.

President Trump had the courage to negotiate with the Taliban and agreed a deal to get all troops out by the end of 2020 only for the neocons like Liz Cheney teaming up with Democrats in the House to stop it and punt it until well into 2021 (i.e now).

To the tough guy neocons on both sides: Accept this. To the generals who don’t have a clue and think every country wants a Western style democracy (or Republic?) Wake up and stop doing the bidding of the Military Industrial Complex. Your treachery and lies will be revealed in good time.

This is a great day and victory for taxpayers. Tens of billions of dollars will no longer be shipped to that sh*thole every year.

With this war ended a vast gravy train has also ended and no more blood and treasure will be spilt in this godforsaken land (of ours at least).

Every cloud ….

It's wonderful that the Taliban is back in charge and will soon be helping terrorist groups plot attacks against the US.

Maybe instead of imposing unpopular governments on foreigners, we should deal with whoever is in power? We tell the Taliban, Afghanistan is yours. We've no objection. But if you strike us, we'll strike you tenfold.

That's how Reagan dealt with Libya. He didn't try to depose Gaddafi. He merely sent an airstrike against Libya in 1986, in retaliation for a West Berlin disco terrorist bombing. After that, Gaddafi quieted down.

Reagan didn't try to invade Libya and start a nation building project.

You’re a bit premature. And there’s nothing great about the way we’re leaving. It’s disgraceful

Thanks President Trump for getting us out of Afghanistan - even though Selected Biden has cocked it up beyond all recognition over 8 months culminating in the fiasco we see today.

Exactly what I said. That’s why I said it.

It’s wonderful and we’ll look back on it kindly in future.

Believe me.

Probably come in through the southern border which is wide open.

That's where our troops should be stationed. Not halfway around the world.

Don’t like the terrible exit Biden did, but we had no business trying to turn Afghanistan into a vision of a Western country

I’ve posted about it. You’re going to get 30,000 in Texas and Wisconsin :(

Never let a crisis go to waste.

However, on balance I’m relieved we’re out and this is over no matter the hand-wringing in the media from the usual suspects.

They should be ignored...

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Afghans who will be tortured, murdered, and pushed into slavery because they made the classic mistake of having faith in us.

You neoisolationist/military service-avoiding nonfighters tick me off! Why do you think we still have troops in Europe and Asia, 76 years after WWII? The effects and obligations of war continue long after the fighting stops.

I remember bozos just like you who sat out my war and then cheered on the enemy when we finally deserted the Vietnamese. You’re not “conservatives” - you’re wussies.

Us leaving Afghanistan, and admitting Afghan refugees into the U.S., are separate issues. We should leave. We should not allow them here.

Amazingly tone deaf.

We needed to leave, but this was the worst possible way.

President Trump tried to close the bases in Europe too but this has been cancelled by Biden.

Brig them ALL Home!

Yeah, sure - great idea. Does that mean you won’t have to hide under your bed anymore?

Great day for the taxpayers...except for the BILLIONS in equipment that Biden & Co. intentionally left behind for their beloved muslims.

"Joe Biden is a politician, nothing more. He had made a political calculation that we had to get out of Afghanistan, no matter what the costs may be.

Biden could have "withdrawn in force" and the Taliban would have been quiet.

Instead were treated to 24 hour news of disaster after disaster, crowds rampaging, and dead people everywhere.

Now, thanks to Selected Biden failure to simply plan we are in a mess. Biden owns this.

Thanks to Biden the US military is fleeing Afghanistan past ginormous piles of its mysteriously unused weapons and equipment while screaming like a girl with its whitey-tighties wedged up over its head.

No. I agree with Trump and America First policy. There is no need for bases in Europe or South Korea.

War is a racket and boy have they made it one.

Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of Afghans who will be tortured, murdered, and pushed into slavery because they made the classic mistake of having faith in us.

Half the time I hear Neocons denouncing "Mooselimbs," the other half I hear Neocons saying we must defend these noble people's freedom.

I say, let them defend themselves.

We gave the Afghans an extremely well-equipped and trained army. 300,000 Afghan soldiers vs. 75,000 Taliban. We bought the Afghans a modern air force. The Taliban has no air power.

And yet, the Afghans had neither the will nor the courage to fight for their own country.
