One of many definitions for Critical Race Theory is a widely-used one on Google: Critical Race Theory (CRT) is a body of legal scholarship and an academic movement of civil-rights scholars and activists in the United States who seek to critically examine the intersection of race and U.S. law and to challenge mainstream American liberal approaches to racial justice. Remember the "racial justice" part.
The problem is, the methodology that CRT proponents implement to examine things is shoddy at best.
A.) The correct thing is to say "There is racial inequality, or at least racial imbalance, for example, in math scores, so what is the cause?" The racial imbalance is then assigned a (B) but the first step would be to say "Let’s come at this with a variety of hypotheses, test them, and see what is causing it." Cause is then assigned an A.
CRT seems to say instead: "No, there is inequity, therefore racism is the cause" or B to A.
CRT proponents don't see inequality, but rather see inequity, which is different, use about as close to a reverse scientific method as you can get, and assign a predetermined cause - racism.
B.) CRT would say: "There is a serious imbalance in math scores between the races. Racial imbalance is racial discrimination; if racial discrimination exists there can be no racial justice, therefore math is racist." As an example:
Los Angeles Times California's Controversial Math Overhaul Focuses on Equity (one of many news articles talking about how racist math supposedly is).
"It described its goals as calling out systemic racism in mathematics, while helping educators create more inclusive, successful classrooms..."
Another article to read, info there:
Wall Street Journal In California, 2+2=4 May Be Thought Racist
C.) In a recent court decision, judge James C. Ho of the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals noted that the city of Los Angeles administered an exam to firefighters to determine who were most qualified for promotion. After the results came in, more white candidates scored highly on it than did black candidates.
When the city saw that, it threw out the results because it feared a disparate-impact lawsuit by black candidates, but by doing that, it discriminated against white candidates.
Ho noted that for some critical race theory proponents, such as Kendi, that sort of “positive” discrimination is an acceptable remedy to historical racial bigotry. But to other people, “it is worse than the disease.”
"The only remedy to racist discrimination is antiracist discrimination. The only remedy to past discrimination is present discrimination. The only remedy to present discrimination is future discrimination." - Ibrahim X Kendi, Critical Race Theorist
In conclusion:
A teacher has a history of successfully teaching math in a variety of settings over time to various children, moves to another district or state, has a new batch of students, various attempts and stratagems have been employed previously in the area she has moved into to try to teach math to the students, and yet scores for some remain low. In fact, one teacher after another has already been brought in, the schools are well-funded, and still some of the students can't learn the math.
Guess what, hearkening back to A: various explanatory hypotheses (EH) are tried to see if not enough funding or bad teachers are the cause for low math scores. EH's: more funding will lead to better math scores and/or better teachers will lead to better math scores. Eliminating all possibilities as the cause for low math scores given funding is through the roof across the U.S., teachers are said to be better than ever, etc, is it possible that some just can't learn it and that math isn't racist after all?
If enough people decided to completely ignore these kinds of manipulative propagandas, including teachers, parents and students, then it would just go away.
It’s racist and should never be in our government schools. Any teacher or administrator that supports CRT needs to be fired and never work in education. Every school board member that supports CRT needs to be removed from their positions and banished from political life forever. Every Democrat needs to removed from public office. That one just goes without saying. Nothing to do with CRT.
Any help is appreciated!
Criminal Racism is a blackwash for an attempted communist coup. You’ve got it. They want it, but have no legitimate claim to it.
Well as a graduate of the Department of Defense Equal Opportunity Institute, now call Human Relations Institute, I’m pretty critical of it.
That hasn’t worked so far. In fact, this has been going on for over a decade now and a pushback on it is finally getting something done.
Another wedge in keeping people divisive and causing increased racist activity. Despite “their” claims, racism IS a two way street.

Oooops! Sorry for the double tap. It must have been my back button. Yeah, that’s it.........
No problem.

No need to intellectualize it! It’s a “burn it all down” philosophy and it’s bullshit!
I think parents and students agree with your sentiment.
Teachers (and the unions they rode into town on), not so much.
I have no opinion about the name “Critical Race Theory”, since it will soon disappear (and Republicans will claim a great victory).
On the other hand, I DO disapprove of relentless anti-white hate propaganda designed to injure white children who are engaged in compulsory education, which WILL continue under some other name until it is eradicated - which is unlikely under the present form of government.
“...(CRT) is a body of legal scholarship and an academic movement ...”
Two major mistakes: “scholarship” and “academic”.
But then again, liberals love symbolism over substance.
Fixed it.
No doubt you’re right.
