The entire enterprise was doomed from the beginning. America can’t win a war decisively in a foreign country while making war under UN rules of engagement, etc.
We could easily win any war if we were ruthless. We have everything needed to do so. We don’t fight to win and haven’t for a long time.
There appears to be an unlimited supply of ignorant violent jihadis in the middle east, south Asia. Each year US Coalition forces virtually killed the entire annual intake of AQ.
