A Texas man who was shot six times is still waiting for surgery in a Houston hospital about a week after the shooting as the facility struggles due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Joel Valdez is waiting for surgery at Ben Taub Hospital in Houston, Texas and spoke to Fox 26 about the situation, advising people to do their best to keep healthy and not end up in the hospital right now.
Ben Taub Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is operating at 98 percent capacity, according to a spokesperson for the Harris Health System, while 33 percent of those patients have conditions related to COVID-19.
Valdez, who is a local business owner and father, spoke to Houston's Fox 26 from his hospital bed on Friday.
He was shot by a stranger last Saturday morning while leaving a Kroger on the 9100 block of the city's W. Sam Houston Parkway.
Police have arrested a suspect and charged him with shooting Valdez earlier this week.
"Having broken bones and bullets in me for over a week now, it's a little frustrating," Valdez said.
"I got shot in the neck right here, but I got hit three times in my left shoulder. That's what is broken and what I'm awaiting surgery for," he said.

Exactly. A good portion of those hospital beds are taken by illegals.

I have been in long discussions with a relative who works in the ICU of a regional hospital (they draw patients from several counties).
She says that on a typical day seven of the ten beds in the ICU are occupied, and that four of those seven are occupied by drug (including alcohol) addicts.
That might be part of the problem.
How does COVID interfere with surgery?
Is he really so well off that he wouldn’t get priority in the ICU for recovery for a day?

No, they are at 98% of capacity and not over capacity. Of those making up the 98% about 1/3 are allegedly CV but since the CV case counters are so discredited no one has a clue how many cases there are.
I feel super comfortable disbelieving anything being put out regarding this scamdemic. We know the PCR test is totally useless and the CDC has admitted this as has the man who actually developed the test.
All those illegals crossing with covid.
Orthopedic surgeons do not treat the WuFlu and surgical theaters are not used for treating WuFlu either.

So the number of cases and even deaths cannot be trusted as reported.

Wow. Again, this means that any numbers about cases or deaths are pretty much meaningless. We’ll probably never know that actual counts.
