Thank you for your details on enjoying McDonald’s. As a 75 year old who is NOT within 5 lbs of my high school weight (partly due to thyroid but not all) I will try hard to continue liking you and not feeling resentful. Just kidding.

You must be one of those high metabolism people like someone I knew used to say about her friend :”She eats a big meal and loses a pound because of the arm muscle exercise of picking up the food to eat it.”

I have been blessed with some good genes. The doctor who examined my father before he went to a rest home noted he was in his mid-80’s, morbidly obese, smoking heavily, and drinking heavily. He said that if I had any sort of a reasonable lifestyle I would live to be 120.
