The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise known as the Mormon church, urged its congregation to get vaccinated for COVID-19 and wear masks. The Church addressed its Thursday statement to all its global members. The First Presidency, consisting of the prophet and his two counselors signed the letter. All three have received the vaccine and broadcasted the process on social media.
“We find ourselves fighting a war against the ravages of COVID-19 and its variants, an unrelenting pandemic,” the statement begins. “We want to do all we can to limit the spread of these viruses. We know that protection from the diseases they cause can only be achieved by immunizing a very high percentage of the population.” The Church’s prophet, Russel M. Nelson, was a career heart surgeon until 1984.
“To limit exposure to these viruses, we urge the use of face masks in public meetings whenever social distancing is not possible,” the statement read. “To provide personal protection from such severe infections, we urge individuals to be vaccinated. Available vaccines have proven to be both safe and effective…”

Why would a god need to be vaccinated?
Why should you get vaxxed if you ARE wearing magic underwear? Shouldn’t that protect them?

While the vaccine may not be the “mark of the beast” in and of itself, it is the gateway through which it will come to fruition.
Think vaccine passports, papers for interstate travel, being fired for refusing to get vaccinated etc etc etc...
It is freely admitted that the current “vaccines” for Covid have become ineffective against the new variants, but now we are told that they never were meant to stop it, just make the symptoms less severe. Of course this is more of a made up claim than anything that can be proven one way or the other.

I’ve been a member of FR for quite sometime and I’m still amazed at the anti-Mormon sentiment. After all there are quite a few Mormon Freepers, including yours truly.
I’m just like you, my two grown children are Jewish by birth, because there mother is Jewish. I served OUR country on active duty for nearly 23 years, and I still work with the military as a contractor. I like guns, motorcycles, good tequila, and beer.
Why do Freepers bash other Freepers for their religious beliefs. Mormons are Christians, believers in Jesus Christ. Which beliefs, held by Mormons negatively affect you? Its not like we’re on a jihad to kill, enslave or tax all infidels.
One of the big rules on FR is to “be nice” to other Freepers. I don’t know why FR won’t enforce that rule and why a lot of you ignore it.

You are sorely mistaken. I’m very conservative as are a large majority of Mormons. A very large majority of Mormons support Trump, as I do. I disagree with church on this and I absolutely disagree with just about everything biden has done and is doing.
I doubt they have much of an opinion about HCL.
Utah was very enthusiastic about HCL. Then a controversy started, and they probably don't want to relive all that.
