The media sucks at math. If 99.98% of the crew was vaccinated, that means 1 in 5,000 was not. But there were "more than 4,000 people on the ship". The number just don't add up.

Fully Vaccinated Guests — New Testing Requirements Effective August 14, 2021
Vaccinated cruises are available for guests who have received their final dose of an approved COVID-19 vaccine at least 14 days prior to the sailing day and have proof of vaccination.
Fully vaccinated guests must also present the negative results of a COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within three days prior to embarkation. For example, if the sailing is on Saturday, the test may be taken any time from Wednesday through Friday. Guests may also take the test on the morning of embarkation so long as they are guaranteed to receive their test results before their time of check-in. (Please refer to our Return to Service FAQs for more information on testing.)
Was it the Delta variant or the new improved Lambda variant? One good thing about all these mutations is that people are learning new letters of the Greek alphabet. Most people know alpha beta omega and pi but that’s about it. Now they know delta and lambda. One of the things that the government needs to help us be more scared is deaths. They aren’t getting enough of those. New variants spread like crazy but they don’t make people die as often. Now they are sending people to the hospital to fill some beds in the ICU to make the pandemic more convincing. Problem is people are recovering instead of dying.

This is an ideological struggle-
Group A) Big government, collectivist, centralized, globalist, the needs of many: “From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.”
Group B) Small government, Individualist, decentralized, US Constitution, natural law.
Almost every issue today gets politicized. A flag gets planted and if you identify as X you need to take the following position and regurgitate this narrative. If you identify as Y you need to take the other position and regurgitate their narrative. You need to assemble around your BLM, ANTIFA, Rainbow or Don’t tread on me, Come and Take it flag.
This is true for Iraq, Covid, GITMO, Global Warming, the view of law enforcement, the death of Floyd... People no longer think independently. Facts don’t even matter anymore. Intangible feelings, ones perceptions are as real as concrete measurable facts. In fact, today we will MAKE the facts fit our feelings and if need be inflate the numbers with unexplainable variables in climate models, how we count Covid deaths, casualties in a war (they ended up counting anyone that died even in an accident or of an illness just to pump the number up as high as possible and show how horrible this war)...
The idea of neutrality, rational, logical (correlation and causality), weighted/measured and sequenced responses to a problem where we evaluate risk is ENTIRELY missing. We have as with Cuomo’s big shows where he’s on TV every day, demonstrating how he’s a great leader in crisis even though most his decisions are half baked. We have a president pushing for vaccines using coercion and masks that based on even a junior high science education would let you know do not work to stop the spread of a virus that will pass right through it. But again, he’s a great leader showing “action in crisis.”
This entire Covid theater should be a warning to the American public of what is to come when idiot politicians and bureaucrats get to run everything. But instead, because you have a lot of people in Group A today, they do not see this.
That’s not the way I’ve avoid the virus. Seems like common sense?
Based on the numbers your chances of not getting infected are about 99.4%. Given the close quarters I’d say those are pretty good odds.

That is .675%, which is exactly what I would expect if there were a few percent who were not vaccinated.
