This was some time ago, but do you remember saying “an autopsy was requested”?
What I said about that set you off into a tirade.
I said and I’ll say it again, your account must be wrong because someone from the general public doesn’t just request an autopsy.
The attending Doctor that doesn’t want to fill out the death certificate.
Police.
Or the biggy, the Medical Examiner themselves.
Uncle Hank or Sister Edna can not decide whether an autopsy is done or not.
If or when an M.E. decides to autopsy the remains, nothing can stop it.
They are the decider in this.
Even if the Police request the remains to be autopsied, the M.E. has the final say and decides what testing if any needs to be completed.
2 of your accounts said an autopsy was requested. I said family can’t request an autopsy as it is done at the discretion of the M.E.
Generally an autopsy is preformed when there is not treating Doctor or attending Doctor (E.R. Doc) that knows the patient well enough or knows about the incident of death and is willing to sign the Death Certificate.
At that point…….the family can make all the request they want, but the legal authority sits with the M.E.

I never dignified your ‘autopsy’ remark because it is terribly offensive....to me, and especially to the family. In time, perhaps, but....not within months of his passing.
And, we’ve all seen how autopsies are being lied on for COD with these cases, by paid gov’t stooges, like you. (Several FReepers have posted about this.)
