It was only a month ago when the long-oppressed Cuban people rose up in a historic challenge to the island’s brutal regime. The world saw vivid images of Cubans taking to the streets to call for an end to the dictatorship. And thanks to social media, the world actually witnessed the regime’s savage crackdown and the courage of the Cuban people. Then, a week later, everything went dark and the world moved on. What happened?

As people start to maneuver for 2024 runs Marco Rubio is suddenly a staunch freedom loving rock ribbed conservative. Funny how that works.
Micro Rubio failed to answer his own question. “What happened?” Well, I’ll tell you what happened. Since Cubans are protesting communism, a system the currently constituted democrat party wants to emulate, the media dutifully stopped covering this historic event for fear of impeding the progress of the democrat party. Certainly, showing the American people what happens to a country ruled by communists would turn SOME people off to the democrat agenda.

Micro Rubio has been trying to turn the USA into North Mexico with amnesty for illegal aliens since he got to the Senate.
If we keep re-electing Assistant Democrats they will keep assisting the Democrats to that permanent majority.
Who is going to replace him? Someone has to step up. Challenging him would make one unpopular and republicans feelings get hurt too easy. We needed Gov. Scott and he stepped up against Nelson.
As for Cuba nothing will work as ling as there’s a rat in the WH. Media just sweeps it under the rug.

Yep, I’ve seen nothing in the media about Cuba in the longest time. The protests were a 1 or 2 day story in our media.
I bet protests are still going on, but our media simply isn’t covering what’s going on in Cuba.
Nobody is going to stop him. Let’s face it, we had a President that refused to produce his birth certificate and anyone who asked for it was attacked mercilessly. No court anywhere cared a bit and the voters didn’t either. This is where we are, no amendment required, you just ignore the constitution and as long as you keep the people at each others throats all the time nobody will stop you.
I do not vote for ineligible candidates, the GOP will be forfeiting the votes of many by nominating an ineligible candidate.

What it means is that he can be elected El Presidente of Cuba.

One of my hobbies is Cuban cigars.
Those discussion groups discuss the Cuban political situation in detail—and there are ongoing protests there in various locations.
There is also a vicious crack-down by a secret police organization.
Cigar production and distribution is at a virtual standstill, partially due to Covid panic and partially due to the protests.
It was that issue which turned our country into an official oligarchy. Historians will look back on Berg vs. Obama as the Rubicon River of our day.
In South Florida, big sugar is King.
The Fanjul family owns big sugar and my Senator Rubio.
Each pound of sugar produced in Florida is subsidized to the tune of over 10 a pound by the federal gub mint.
To harvest sugar the entire field is burned in giant fires to remove cutting leaves. Pollution is rampant yet the E.P.A. allows and ignores the massive pollution.
Why? It greatly pollutes the air in said fire and waterways with the runoff.
Rubio is their puppet.
Yep, both parties colluded to violate the Constitution and I said at the time it would prove to be fatal to the Republic.

Do we owe it to a free Cuba to accept their sugar and thereby undercut our own? Damn right we would. A violent overthrow of the communists and I’d be all in. Give them the oil in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to prime their new economy. It would last a long time. Few working automobiles. Give them all the old working Ford Fiestas and Rangers. That would lock the new country into our markets. Buy up all Cuban cigars and distribute them to all the 7-11’s around the country. $1 each. Tourism could be big. I’ve written it here before.
