I’m guessing his sister leaned hard on him to do the guest shots on Fuller House.

Speaking of Candace, it is quite interesting how she, also a devout Christian, doesn't attract anywhere near the vitriol her brother gets.

Like Star Trek Discovery, the drama behind the drama is far more interesting than the results we got ON screen.

I don't know how any scripted fiction can top the absurdity of ViacomCBS recently renewing Alex Kurtzman's contract and dumping a boatload of money in his lap to produce even more crap Trek.

Despite having the same last name and co-starring on the same 80s sitcoms, I wasn't even aware Kirk Cameron and Candace Cameron were siblings until a few years ago. Funny they can get Kirk to show up for a Full House reunion, but not the Olsen twins.

I noted earlier than fellow 80s teen heartthrob/bad boy Marky Mark (now known as Mark Wahlberg and wants to be known as a "serious" dramatic actor) became a hardcore devout Christian a few years back, and the media just collectively shrugged. I think his conversion is sincere like Cameron's, but again the lack of media backlash is probably because: A) He doesn't push social issues like pro-life in public, and B) He's not in-your-face and overbearing like Kirk Cameron is. Ironically, Marky Mark WAS an overbearing obnoxious thug BEFORE his conversion, and while I'm sure he's sought forgiveness for that, it doesn't excuse his past actions/record. Kinda like Newt Gingrich (assuming Newt "finding Jesus" with the woman he created on is sincere)

A bit off topic, but mentioned earlier in the thread: they keep doing reunions of sitcoms I never watched in the first place and don't care about (Full House, Roseanne, Murphy Brown, etc.), but never do reunions of sitcoms I'd actually want to check out (Married With Children, Home Improvement, Family Matters, etc.)
