On Monday, residents of a condo in Miami were ordered to evacuate by 8 am Tuesday morning after the building was deemed 'unsafe' by city officials Hundreds of residents of the 138-unit building were evacuated as the city works to relocate them until they can come home The building was first placed on the unsafe structure list back in May and was ordered to undergo repairs City of Miami officials claim that instructions for proper repairs where given to the building's engineer for weeks but were not followed The city of Miami currently has 2,439 buildings on its unsafe structure list This evacuation comes six weeks after the collapse of the Champlain Towers which killed 98 people ..................................................... Hundreds of residents of an eight-story condo building in Miami were ordered to evacuate after the building was deemed 'unsafe' by city officials.

Monday night residents of the 138-unit building at 5050 NW Seventh St. lugged belongings to their vehicles as they were ordered to be out of their homes by 8 am Tuesday morning, news outlets reported.

'My grandfather just comes in the house screaming that we have to leave immediately,' resident Mya Ncastanedo told WSVN. 'If this building is demolished, there goes our property ... and all our memories from growing up here.'

It was a “boom town” back then. Construction cranes everywhere, as I remember.

Is the death count official and are they still digging for bodies?

I said this storm will not see 150 ever not enough time to get there.East side wont see much if anything

Story ended when CNN packed up.
Count was last at that 98,I suppose the disparity in numbers will just go away like CNN did

Since July, this is all I could find on the internet.

The death toll in the Champlain Towers South collapse now stands at 79, after another victim was recovered Friday, Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said in an evening news conference. Of those, 53 victims have been identified, she said. Currently, 61 people are potentially unaccounted for, the mayor added.

Well, at least they’ll be alive to pay that YUGE condo special assessment to fix their foundation before it collapses.
