Yeah people including Trump say that but can you produce any evidence that is consistent with the hypothesis that the vaccines are as safe as previous vaccines?
That is a very foolish argument. Trump liked Fauci and how did he turn out. Trump liked Barr and how did he turn out. And on and on.
Trump assumed people in government long term were long term because they were competent and trustworthy like in business. In business people are held accountable and the chaff gets separated. But not in government. Chaff gets promoted, case in point Biden. Trump should have brought in more business people and skipped long term politicians.
The self serving political elites are going to hang Trump with the impending covid vaccine failure. Biden et al would do that in a heartbeat and the media would be on that bandwagon instantly.

Pfizer and Moderna require two doses per person.
About 195 million Americans have had at least one dose, and about 166 million are considered fully vaccinated. Around 13 million got the single shot J&J vaccine, so subtracting those from the fully vaccinated, leaves about 153 million who got a second shot of Pfizer or Moderna.
So 195 firsts, and 153 seconds totals around 348 doses - within one percent of the 351. Some doses have also been administered to foreigners while they are in the country.

When President Trump appointed someone to lead his Operation Warp Speed, he chose an Admiral. Fauci was locked out from operations and decisions.
Trump did hire Fauci, he was already there at his post.
Before the vaccines even came out Trump dissed Fauci and no longer had him in his Pressers.
Fauci was going on CNN et al and bashing Trump, apparently you forgot that.
