When President Trump appointed someone to lead his Operation Warp Speed, he chose an Admiral. Fauci was locked out from operations and decisions.
Trump did hire Fauci, he was already there at his post.
Before the vaccines even came out Trump dissed Fauci and no longer had him in his Pressers.
