630 Deaths (Not updated from yesterday, likely just the now normal weekend reporting lag - deaths rose in an accelerating trend last week).
Vaccinations relatively strong again today.
The other side is apoplectic today and yesterday — beware for incoming ad hominem attacks and talking points.
Just out of curiousiy, which side is the “other side”? All I see are raw statistics — nothing for anyone to get particularly miffed over.
Your tag line is antithetical to your comment.
People Vaccinated, First Shot: 521,000 (Strong).Last night President Trump again recommended people get vaccinated.
Once again, thanks for this summary.
This is key. The most hesitant are the most educated. https://t.co/foi5At4kdJ— Robert W Malone, MD (@RWMaloneMD) August 8, 2021
"The largest decrease in hesitancy between January and May by education group was in those with a high school education or less. Hesitancy held constant in the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.); by May Ph.D.’s were the most hesitant group."https://t.co/5DWNofIgfy— CryptoThis (@jacleena) August 7, 2021
“When more Covid-19 data doesn’t equal more understanding”

“The researchers found that antimask [or anti covid vaccine] groups were creating and sharing data visualizations as much as, if not more than, other groups.
And those visualizations weren’t sloppy. “They are virtually indistinguishable from those shared by mainstream sources,” says Satyanarayan. “They are often just as polished as graphs you would expect to encounter in data journalism or public health dashboards.”
“It’s a very striking finding,” says Lee. “It shows that characterizing antimask groups as data-illiterate or not engaging with the data, is empirically false.”
the most educated group (those with a Ph.D.);Probably do a lot better at not being obese, developing diabetes, etc.
The highly contagious Delta variant is driving them nuts. I think this is now impacting many people who previously were fortunate enough not to know anyone who hospitalized or died. They are seeing that the recommended treatments from quacks are not performing as they expected. Their minds are struggling to process this and they are lashing out. At this point, they are retreating further into denial rather than admitting they were wrong.
Sorry. I know that’s very judgmental of me. But I’m mad today.
I’m not mad, but you are, interesting.
I asked some how people changing their minds and getting vaccinated affects them and all I got was more flames.

This would explain the extreme defensiveness and name calling.
1of this week’s covid vax reports. 15yo. Symptoms began within 1h,progressed over next 2d until he went to ER, went into cardiac & resp failure, lung collapsed, kidney injury, new type 1 diabetes, myocarditis. 😮😮
Definitely vax? Don’t know. But obviously vax triggered something pic.twitter.com/Jq0gmR6oZl— AMM, MD (@AMcA32449832) August 8, 2021

Like House Atreides in post 16?
Did you miss post 7?
I’m pretty sure that I’m on the Q follower’s list as a Branch Covidian, but one would hope that it should still be possible to have an open discussion about therapeutics as well as vaccines, even now that the vax are widely available here in the US.
So when we talk about internet quacks, and there are a lot of them, are we also talking about Pierre Kory, Paul Merik, and Tess Lawrie? Are they quacks?
Especially in an environment where we’re seeing some breakthrough infections, and limitations on the availability of the monoclonal antibody therapies, would it not be prudent to give serious consideration to therapeutics that ARE available? (I’m speaking strictly relative to outpatient, viral stage illness.)
The question gets harder yet when one considers third world countries without access to vaccines. Seems irresponsible to just throw up one’s hands and lump Kory et. al, in with the raving lunatics selling magic potions and utterly baseless foolishness.
