How’s the weekend?
Hi, Vision! Happy Sunday. :-)
Hi Gina.
Evening, folks.
Hi, Viking! Is everything okay?
Hey, how are things?
Esther Williams had an attractive voice. So refreshing.
Doing a little better, Gina. Seems that during the second surgery, the doctors took out a bigger chunk of lumbar vertabra than they should have. The disc between vertabrae elongated, swelled up 5x its normal size, and slipped out between her vertabrae completely. That wedged it directly against her spine, hence the screaming pain. She also had to have a drain put in her elbow to allow that spider bite to heal. She’s in a nursing home for another week or so, then she should be coming home after that. She said most of her pain is post-op, but I don’t know what else they’ll give her for pain. She was hooked on Percocet before they opened her up and saw what the previous team did. She’s been experimenting with CBD oil lately, maybe she’ll just get a medical reefer card - there’s a dispensary three minutes from the house.
Oh, Viking, I’m so sorry to hear this! I was wondering what was happening, since we haven’t heard from you in a little while. Continuing prayers for your Ma. <3
Well, like I said, it’s a respite from the turmoil, at least for now. It’s frustrating to see a family member in such a state for their age and not really be close enough to do something about it. My sister said she feels like she’s suffering from PTSD from all the emotional and physical stress she was under. My reserves are pretty tapped, too. Hopefully this won’t be a repeat of our dad, who was in and out of the hospital for 25 years before his health caught up to him. I just take it one Christmas at a time, and thank God when it happens.
Prayers sent Viking.
Thanks, guys, much appreciated.
