Shortly after they won yet another gold medal in Tokyo, Nike dropped a powerful new commercial paying respect to the dynasty that is the United States women’s basketball team.

“The greatest dynasty ever.”

So, right on cue, Nike released a new ad that follows a student who is set to give a presentation on dynasties in school.

Yet instead of talking about a more traditional, historic dynasty, the student opted to profile the women’s basketball team

This ad has to be seen to be believed. “Ancient history and drama” are dismissed as just being the patriarchy and thus not worth learning t from, Alexander the Great is called Alexander the OK, etc. Is there any question that Nike is pure evil?

And I know some will dismiss this as mere pandering to minorities. And no question that they are doing that to sell shoes. But you can do that in several ways, many of which are not as vile as this.

This has an effect on young people, whether you like it or not. It’s a dangerous, destructive message.

Why is it “unbelievably” crazy? I find it quite believable, and unabashedly crazy.

I don’t need another reason to avoid Nike products. The professional athletes (sjw’s) who take their money seem okay with slave labor that uses children. I guess if they support the Marxist BLM their conscience is clear.

The Nike dynasty is built on slave labor and false Gods of sports and idolizing a shoebrand.

You are wonderful. You are so powerful. Buy my overpriced shoes made by prisoners and slaves in China. This is just a slick used car pitch made to those too gullible to see it.

If you reversed all the sexes players and props in the ad it would be considered too misogynic and hateful to show.

I do not think, I have watched them, ever!
Have no idea who they are and do not care about them at all! How that makes the greatest dynasty, ever?

When you think of Dynasty, you think China, not the western Empires. Of course, Nike doesn’t dare mention the great Sweat Shop Dynasties of China, where Nike makes their shoes, nor do they offend any of China’s Great Dynasties.

And it sure does help that women’s basketball really isn’t a big thing anywhere outside of the USA. Dominate a global sport like wrestling, track, swimming, gymnastics or archery. Then I might be impressed. Dominating Japan in a women’s sport they barely play is like beating Mongolia in Surfing.

Nike has an agenda that is more important than making a profit.

So, in celebration of an American victory, in praise of a team of US Athletes, they’ve managed to make an anti-American ad, is that the story?

People hate this stuff. I bet there’s a big bunch of anti-American leftists who also don’t love seeing these mega-corps with their bogus sentiments.

So did they drop the ad or did they release the ad? Does the title match the story? Does drop mean release or dismiss? Do words mean anything we want now?

They dropped it? Good for them!!

Oh, wait. “Drop” now means “Didn’t drop” in newspeak. Does “Launch” now mean “Didn’t launch”?

Modern life is so damned confusing. In the good old days, language changed slowly and almost imperceptibly. Now the the Internet has accelerated everything 100X and absurdities where a word means its opposite are rapidly accepted and assimilated.

I hate the new “Drop” almost as much as I hate the new “Own.”
