I am just kicking back and watching a pre-1990s movies tonight. I do not watch or follow the olympic games at all. Behavior that is typical for a political dissident.
And the women’s team just beat Japan to win gold . Too many whites on the baseball team I guess which is why they lost to Japan .

I didn't watch any of the Olympic events but since I live in Spain I know basketball is a huge sport here and it's catching on in countries around the world. The NBA can no longer just pick players, have them not take anything seriously and walk away with the gold or the world championship. France and others beating the USA is no longer a fluke.

Well at least it did help to beat China in the Gold Medal Count, so there is that.
Exactly, there already is a World Cup for Basketball for professionals, let that be the big tournament for the Pros.

I am sorry to hear that they won.
They didn’t win it SINCERELY; I just imagine plopovich rousing the team to win, with a speech , motivating them to win not for the US, but with the attitude of “If we don’t win, the ‘racists’, the ‘right wingers’ , are gonna say ‘we told you so’, or ‘see,we were right’, or say ‘they lost because the blacks didn’t care’, et al, et al.
