Ksenia Ovchinnikova claims she was lured into indulging in a juicy McDonald’s burger — and now she’s not lovin’ it.
The Russian woman is allegedly suing the fast-food chain after claiming that seeing a mouthwatering cheeseburger commercial made her break her fast during Lent.
Ovchinnikova claims she had adhered to the belt-tightening custom for a month when she saw an enticing Golden Arches banner advertising a cheeseburger and chicken nuggets. Despite successfully fasting for the last 16 years, the hangry woman couldn’t resist and “visited McDonald’s and bought a cheeseburger,” the repentant religious follower admitted in her statement.

Hope you are not going to sue?
The guy was a track star!
And I kind of like him...
Sue ‘im!

Many thought for a while that they may have.
It’s someone else’s fault she decided to voluntarily order something and eat it of her own free will.
This is similar to the lawsuit just filed by the 2021 version of the Chicken D’s in Texas.
That would make an entertaining commercial. It sounds like a parody.
Something that would never really happen.

Did you see that doughnut?
Apparently so. I guess others are now to be held accountable for our own weaknesses. Sadly, not satire.
I question the ethics of the lawyer that took the case. He/she has to know it is going to get laughed out of court. He/she is basically stealing any retainer from the lady.
What a lie, and in the first sentence no less. Everyone knows there's no such thing as a "juicy McDonald’s burger".
I can see it now: I'm John Morgan, if you broke your meat fast during Lent, call us. Morgan & Morgan, for the people... 🤓
Well, that’s a helluva guilt complex.
Re post 13: True, more American businesses are out of business because of claims... Like Roundup now...
Re Post 34: True... McDonald’s and Juicy are oxymorons...
The good news is that the Halloween products are on the store shelves!
So her legal argument is she has no will of her own or responsible for her own choices....
In Russia...
Good luck with that...
