H.L. Mencken once defined Puritanism as “the haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.” That's what Woke culture is all about. A bunch of miserable people worried that not everyone may be as miserable as they are.

Good thing I didn’t tell them about the dirty knife! (I know that’s from a classic Monty Python episode, but I find it appropriate, for here.)

That reminds me of a quote by Thomas Macaulay:
“The Puritans hated bear-baiting, not because it gave pain to the bear, but because it gave pleasure to the spectators.”

I got 30 days in FB jail because I lifted the skit from Monty Python’s THE LIFE OF BRIAN where Stan wants to become a woman called Loretta, and have babies.
First try they would not let me post claiming it was “spam”. so I removed the links and posted the actual script, with no link, but with a You Tube link to that scene.
No extra comments by me.
Three weeks later, BAM! I get a notice I cannot post for thirty days as it went “against community standards”.
If Facebook has a problem with it they should take it up with Monty Python, not me.
The British comedy had a similar scene in THE GOODIES when they are trapped in a building covered with cement, and Tim Brooke-Taylor says he wants out because he wants children! He then looks around and says...”Graham, you’re a doctor!”

There goes Fawlty Towers, The Germans, episode of course. And “The Builders”, because of the Irish.
