they say he cant stay there because the place is ‘illegal’ ie doesn’t have septic, or other things- said he doesn’t have an ‘access road’ to the cabin- he should tell them there is a road- it’s just camouflaged with sticks leaves and twigs”
He claims it’s a hunting cabin,m and not a home- and that he had permission, verbal, from previous owner to stay there-
Between 81 year old squatter and 86 year old owner something probably could be worked out. But “they” are in the picture...government.
He should claim that because the river is navigable by boat and thus it serves as a road just like rivers have done throughout American history.
“ey say he cant stay there because the place is ‘illegal’ ie doesn’t have septic, or other things- said he doesn’t have an ‘access road’ “

That’s all code for “pay us”
“pay us” mostly means the the government, which means EVERYONE (even renters) need to be on the grid. But it also means everyone pays the public utilities. If you’re not on water and sewer, you need to pay anyway. Everyone, and that means absolutely everyone, needs to be paying. Road access? What does that even mean? If someone never has to leave, and no one ever needs to enter, then why should anyone bother with a road? The answer is the same as taxes and public utilities. We all have to do our part to support the grid, and the grid isn’t just pipes and wires, it’s also roads. The point of the grid isn’t that it’s maintained. Yes it has to be maintained. But the point is that everyone is made to contribute. Someday you will pay to breathe too. That’s why you’re not allowed to collect rain water on your own property. The point is to make everyone a minion of the collective.
