The U.S. as seen from the rest of the world

In the former Anglosphere, people realize that, within a very short time, the U.S. has lost its luster and is breaking its implied promise to keep the world stable.

This is a perspective from the rest of the world or, at least, the English-speaking part.

Since the end of World War II, America and Americans have always been seen as brash, loud, ambitious, successful, proud, and innovative. “The Land of the Free” would be the most common description. And ludicrously Christian, praise the Lord and pass the burgers.

We, the world, particularly the Commonwealth with British heritage, looked on America with amusement. Respect for your achievements but always a smile when it came to your gung-ho attitude, patriotism, and waistlines.

Today, it’s all sadness. Sadness that Britain is a shadow of its former self and no longer really “British” and now America has stopped being America. It is no longer the land of your Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and the Bill of Rights. All that was good and amusing in the U.S. of A. has evaporated. Part of global warming I expect – just steam building in the clouds that may never again rain on this planet.

Even in Australia, if I express an opinion that the lockdowns are unnecessary, I am ostracized and regarded as a conspiracy theorist. When I claimed, months ago, that the US elections were rife with fraud, I was told that I was mad because all the news said otherwise – Biden was the legitimate winner. So, I don’t say anything anymore, which is mission accomplished.

I still believe that, if given the choice, NO one would voluntarily choose Communism over Capitalism

Change my mind

In the non-English-speaking part, too

It seems the Olympics losses are a reflection of this:

Men’s basketball team loss to France.

Women’s soccer team losses to Sweden and then Canada.

Men’s baseball team loss to Japan.

Viewership in U.S. down 33% from previous Olympics.

Not confident it will change your mind, but Aesop's Ant and the Grasshopper comes to mind. Human nature to want something for nothing, and communism promises that.

The lazy outnumber the industrious.

Agree on the lazy. I do believe that a small percentage of indutrious people moved the human race forward.

Contempt for truth—truth for its own sake—is the evil most fundamental to the decadence of Western Civilisation.

What is the anglosphere supposed to think? The 2020 election was openly stolen, so in your face blazingly obviously that the USA is now a laughable sham of a joke. Fraud pedojoe grabby green gobbler bidet demeans us further every struggling breath he heaves over each young innocent child, that is when he’s not soiling his depends or compelling his wet nurses to yell at him to stop talking.

Then we ditched it all and adopted 'diversity' as our most important thing ever.
