When my dad was in his eighties, he had several falls and health problems. I recall a physical therapist in the hospital solidly cuss those lifter armchairs because they made the legs very weak.
Not necessarily in bed, but definitely on her back. ;-)
I'm up every hour or two to pee and then try to get back to sleep. Makes for long, restless nights.

But it's not that funny when you have to get up and visit the toilet every hour or two. You're never really rested.
