ymnast McKayla Maroney has unleashed on Team USA and USA Gymnastics over the abuse she suffered at the hands of pedophile doctor Larry Nassar, recalling how at age 15, she was left 'alone, naked' while he 'lay on top of her' as she sobbed for 50 minutes.
The 2012 Olympic gold and silver medalist lifted the lid on the horrors she endured while competing for the national team, claiming that she was 'banned' from seeing or speaking to her parents while traveling with her Team USA coaches, whose 'care' she was left in while she was being sexually abused by Nassar.
Speaking out in the wake of this year's vault final, the gymnast, now 25, also recalled how she was forced to compete in the London Games in 2012 with a broken foot, a concussion, and a busted nose after Nassar lied to coaches about the extent of her injuries.

It is sad. Only a teen getting repeatedly raped by your “coach/doctor”. Hopefully he gets the Dahmer prison treatment.

It’s not very clear what she’s saying happened. Did he rape her and then lay on top of her for 50 minutes? If so, is this one of the crimes for which he was convicted?
What is to be done with this information? Larry Nassar is in prison for the rest of his life. Should gymnastics be cancelled? Should Team USA not enter a gymnastics team? Not many people are watching as it is.
As a parent, I would never allow my kids to do anything that would have required them being away from home under supervision of other adults, like that.
Sorry, a medal isn’t worth it.

I watched a documentary about Nassar and women’s gymnastics.
I have a few years behind me, so I am not too surprised when a man acts like a pig, and Nassar is a pig.
The real story to me was how many of the females and their parents were evidently OK with Nassar behaving this way.
People will put up with a lot if they think fame and fortune is possible.
They really only went after Nassar when a neighbor kid complained and the police found child porn on Nassar’s computer.
I’m glad the worst thing my daughter’s has to deal with were school bullies. That was an easy lesson. I can’t imagine having to help a young adult or adolescent through something like this

The waves of chaos and destruction caused by submitting to selfish and uncontrolled urges ripples out far beyond our individual ability to comprehend. Look at the damage and controversy this sick Larry Nassar has brought on these girls, the sport, the olympics and the entire country
