As COVID-19 cases surge in Thailand, some Buddhist monks are donning personal protective equipment over their distinctive robes, delivering oxygen cylinders, taking nasal samples to help with testing, and even helping carry the dead to the crematoriums.
Thailand is struggling to contain its latest outbreak fuelled by the highly contagious Delta variant, leaving healthcare services stretched and further damaging a battered economy.
"There are a lot of Thais who are still ignored by the public health system," Mahapromphong, 33, the deputy abbot of Suthi Wararam Temple in the Thai capital, told AFP.
"We take care of everyone we come across."

It is getting bad in this neck of the wood too. I don’t know what the case numbers are, just what friends who have caught it are going through along with two that have died in the past two weeks.

Those Tyvek suits would be perfect for doing asbestos removal or protecting from paint aerosol, with the addition of a charcoal filter mask. Not so much for an airborne virus. That requires a positive pressure biohazard suit.
Thanks for your kind thoughts. The two that had it bad are on the mend. One is out of ICU and will make it. The other went through it at home. He was very healthy and physically fit. He said it was a horrible ordeal.
Makes you think, what if I get that little what-ever-it-is inside me?
Final thought: Fauci should be in jail facing charges of crimes against humanity.
