I will admit to not being as familiar with his last 2-3 albums as I am with his first 30 or so, thus I may have missed that aspect of him being reflected in his music. ‘No More Lockdowns’ was the first song I heard where he was addressing a specific issue or perspective on politics.
I am not including his long time gripe against the music establishment, as reflected in songs like ‘Big Time Operators’. I find that theme to be a bit irritating, as that occurred 60 years ago and Van now is quite well heeled.
