Former UFC bantamweight and flyweight champion Henry Cejudo is the latest to criticize [Simone Biles]. Having previously won gold himself (2008 Olympics), Cejudo is of the opinion that Biles could use a "kick in the arse."
"I believe Simone Biles pulling out of this thing is like, I think she really needs to check herself. I think there’s time for a little bit of tough love."

The silver lining is that other USA gymnasts have been able to/will compete, specifically Jade Carey and Mykayla Skinner.
If she really was suffering from the twisties it was right for her to pull out. Not knowing where you are in the air while twisting and turning can mean a broken neck. However if it was just because she wasn’t at her best then she should feel ashamed.
Agree. She should undergo detailed medical tests on her return to the U.S. It could be an inner ear, vertigo, or disorientation problem. How about an adverse reaction to the Wu Flu jab? She calls it a “mental health” issue. Would be understandable if it were a physical or combo physical/psychological issue. If she’s just a head case that needed some tough love, we deserve to know that, too.

my take on it is i just don’t believe her reason for pulling out.
She made sereral screwups and figured she would place low, and didn’t want that on her record, so she comes up with the ‘mental stress’ excuse so she can’t be blamed for doing so and keeps her official records cleaner.
she claims stress? 8 years ago she was 16 and was competing in the olympics for the first time, and doing very well. she should be becoming more seasoned and controlled.
she had a bad couple things happen and she knew itmtook her out of the top spots, so she pulled the mental health card excuse to have an asterisk as opposed to an official lower placment score on her record.

I don’t think she “pulled” anything. Look at the video of her last vault. At the height of her spin you see a drastic change in her facial expression and eyes. Something seriously disorienting occurred like she was uncertain where she was or what was happening. You can’t fake that.
Exactly! Something wasn’t right. My granddaughter watched the US trials and noticed a difference right away.
Simone quit because she is going on a tour. She wants to make money.

Why would anyone (Simone) who cannot tell whether up is up and down is down compete in gymnastics of all things? That is what she says is happening to her.
People should just mind their own business rather than coming down hard on someone of whom they have no knowledge or understanding of what is going on with them. There are better ways to spend one’s time, aren’t there?
I think both you and Henry need to check your own selves
People are open to there being something physically wrong, psychologically wrong, or a combination of the two. At first, however, she said she withdrew to work on her “mental health” and her “mindfulness.” The “twisties” explanation has come later. There’s the possibility she just psyched herself out and choked in a pressure situation.
We deserve to know because she has been promoting herself as the GOAT, including a post-Olympics GOAT exhibition tour. We also deserve to know because her pulling out of the team final likely caused the loss of a gold medal for the USA. We deserve to know, because the Olympics, while ostensibly an athletic competition, is also a highly political competition.
It’s important for the USA to beat our adversaries in the medal count, particularly gold and total medals. It demonstrates our societal superiority over tyrannical regimes. Currently, the Communist Chinese — the ones who brought the world a global pandemic and four million deaths — is beating the USA in gold medals and is about even in total medals. A gold by the USA women’s gymnastics team was important in this race.
