No, he definitely put the mask in the kid’s hand. It’s possible, however, that he was as usual totally confused and didn’t even realize he was putting the mask in the boy’s hand, but even so, the hand holding was definitely not a nice touch.
I thought the children’s mother looked very uneasy and uncomfortable from the start. Imagine how she feels now.
Yeah, I doubt he realized he was even holding anything, but wanted to give the youngster a nice “touchy” hand-holding - as opposed to a handshake, which would have been less odd. I’m just glad he left the young girl alone...
