Twitter: @RossOnRadio "Interesting news that iHeart stations are back on @TuneIn. Emphasizes the need for one-stop shopping."
Pleased to find out iHeartRadio stations are back on TuneIn. At least I can get Boston's WRKO on it (Sandy Shack in for Kuhner). Thus, I dumped my iHeart app, saving space on my phone. Now no longer will I get pre roll ads and invitations to join paid iHeart each time.
TuneIn Pro used to allow recording but that stopped, maybe due to copyright issues. I got that app some years ago when it was $5 one time; maybe $10 now. Pro has no banner ads; Free does. There is also a paid monthly version with various extra stuff. Letting people know, especially talk radio fans. It seems to be this way for all iHeart owned stations.
What does this mean in terms of content?
Hello there raccoonradio. You posted an article, I replied within minutes and you haven’t answered. Do you reply to your own threads, or did you post it simply for our edification?
Been busy.
Those who want iHeart talk stations, or
other formats, might want to shift to
Tune In though I don’t know if they’d bring back the recording capability. When
iHeart forced listeners to use their app,
some talk radio fans who liked to record shows to hear later at a more convenient
time were disappointed. At least it may
be less ad-intrusive.
One less app to deal with.
Thanks!
Tune In is pretty cool. I listen to German Stations because the news and commercials in German are fairly entertaining. Like no commercials at all.
In a hurry are we?
Sorry, I don’t speak in code.
