My experience working with psychotic patients who must take medication are treated respectfully and easily persuaded to take medications — if they want to stay in a warm house with good food. Lots of arm twisting needed. Of course, Covid (.5% death rate) is not as dangerous as Smallpox (17% death rate).
Reminder: 70% of the over 65 population has hypertension, which is a comorbidity. It’s popular to attribute COVID deaths to comorbidities, but reality is age is the determinant, because nearly all of the old folks have such a comorbidity problem.
