BRANDON TOWNSHIP, Mich. – An Oakland County man viciously beat his homeless girlfriend who lives in his barn after he went back on a sex-for-alcohol deal they agreed to, police said. Officials said the incident happened July 21 at a home in the 2100 block of Seymour Lake Road in Brandon Township. A 53-year-old woman told police she has known Vernon George Miller Jr., 58, of Brandon Township, for 40 years and that she was living in a pole barn on his property because she’s homeless.

I hope the woman is ok and recovers, and gets her life together.
I might have some room in my barn for her. Just saying . .
Living in a pole barn..
This being Michigan, maybe she meant Pole Barn.
There used to be a lot of Polish people in southeast Michigan.
There still are.
I grew up in a neighborhood that was filled with Polish people formally from Hamtramck.
If she files an order of protection against you, you will be kicked out of your home, with her in possession.
I had to look it up, being the suburban slicker I am. Made with recycled telephone barns. A term from the Great Depression era.
Sounds like that’s what happen.
The perp has to wear a tether and can’t return to his home.
That’s where i was thinking of, Hamtramck.
My Dad used to work at a General Motors factory in that town. Back in the Ice Ages of the 1970’s.
They know what they can get away with and they help each other out too.
That town isn’t what it use to be.
Nice Church still there where Pope John Paul visited.
Now they have loud speakers that play the Muslim “Call to Prayer”.
I heard about that. Even Dearborn is not so ‘dear’ anymore for the same reasons.
Is that why they call it a “Pole” Barn?
I guess her Momma never told her to get the money first.
Barns use to be constructed from old utility poles.
They were slimmer poles than we have now because not so much was attached to them. A wire for Telegram perhaps.
So when the poles got replaced, they were repurposed.
Vernon has to keep his end of the bargain. I do. Roof over your head..., that sort of thing. D’oh.
Does he work for the fbi too?
Thanks for the information, but I think you may have missed the reason I asked the question.
It had nothing to do with how the Barn was constructed. It had to do with what may have happened inside the Barn as related to the Story.
I know, if you have to explain a Joke, it obviously wasn’t funny in the first place. #;^)
So which one gets the sex and which one gets the alcohol. I suspect both were in the deal before it went sour.
They were together in a previous relationship....the entire equation = too fools unable to get their life together...apart or together.
Probably.
Now he’s up for promotion…..
