The State of Gaslighting in America
Let us look at the the concept of “health mandates” and how common sense is sorely needed today.
In the recent past, States have handed down mask mandates, distancing mandates and even public travel restrictions.
These mandates are being promulgated by Health Departments of the local, State, and Federal variety.
If we look critically at these we are led to certain questions that have definite answers.
-What is the \legislative\ purpose of the Health Department?
All were created by the legislative authority to protect YOU, the everyday citizen.
-How is this done?
By the creation of regulations and rules.
-What is the enforcement authority?
Places of public accommodation are issued permits and licenses to operate.
So, no matter the source, any public accommodation must follow the rules and regulations so that YOU are safe.
=How does the Health Department go about enforcing these rules?
They can investigate and suspend or rescind a license.
Sometimes, they use tips from the public or surprise inspections.
They do not have any “police” and must rely on the sheriff to serve subpoenas (signed by a judge) or a cease-and-desist command.
So, what is their authority over the general public when it comes to health mandates?
The Health Department has absolutely no enforcement authority over the customers who frequent a public accommodation.
The Health Department can require the business to “mask-up” but not the customers.
Now let’s explore this further.
A business cannot enforce a Health Department order - they cannot force you to wear a mask in their store.
the business personnel are not police or Health Department enforcers.
Enforcement can only be made if there is a law on the books.
Only the licensed need comply.

Imagine a restaurant seating you, taking your $100 order and then telling you that, while you are waiting, you \must\ go to the kitchen and kill at least 100 cockroaches or you won’t be served your food.
Oh, but, masks...yeah...no problem.
No you would go the Health Department and complain and they would take their mandate seriously and protect the consuming public.
The restaurant would be made to clean-up...not the customers.
In actuality, the Health Department cannot use a business as an enforcement tool because, there is no authority mandate for everyday citizens wishing to use a public accommodation.
They just don’t have that power.
The business can, however ask you to leave or put on a mask.
If you refuse, they can ask you leave. Once that step is taken, you are in danger of trespass.
The police/sheriff cannot arrest you for not wearing a mask as their is no authority (or jurisdiction) for them to execute Health Department rules.
You maybe subject to public nuisance, disorderly conduct, etc.
There is currently no legislation, anywhere, that requires anyone that is not regulated by the government to wear a mask.
Now what of one’s duty to protect others?
What does this say about you?
Are you admitting you are sick and spreading the disease?
Are you saying that some stranger’s on-going health is your responsibility?
Where is the personal responsibility of the others in the area?
Why aren’t the unmasked getting sued left-and-right by the sick and hospitalized?
Why would I give up my status as a citizen simply because someone else is afraid of being sick?
Do \they\ not take precautions?
Do they ask YOU to wash their hands after using the restroom?
Do complete strangers ask you to tuck them in at night?
So what, who wants the hassle?
I need groceries.
I need my work-out.
Liberty given away for convenience is liberty lost forever.
You are a free people.
The Health Department was established to protect the people from unhealthy practice.
If a business has determined that the conditions in its establishment are such that they cannot guarantee your health, the Health Department has no choice but to suspend their license.
Ultimately, we must enter businesses without masks LIKE NORMAL, and when asked to leave, do so.
You are free to critique the store as you leave and in their parking lot.
In the end, the loss of foot traffic will take its toll.

A little disjointed tonight but remember, No bureaucracy can enforce a “plain” citizen to follow its rules.
Only licensed establishments must comply.

I respect the businesses choice, I would wear a shirt shoes when required. Even a tie and jacket if I wanted to be there.
But if they dare try to make me wear one outside or on my own property they can sugma varient.
